Deborah's Barber Shop is now The Cut Above of SRQ
Same corner of The Plaza at Palmer Ranch, same phone number, same chairs. After more than 20 years, Deborah Kelch McIvaine retired in 2026 and handed the shop to Kyle Wason, a barber she has known for over 12 years.

What stays the same
The phone number is still (941) 927-0540, walk-ins are still welcome, and the shop still runs on the idea Deborah built it on: the customer in the chair comes first. Kyle and the barbers cut men, women, and kids, and the hot towel before the blade has not gone anywhere.
What is new
You can now book online, by phone, or from the QR code in the shop instead of only walking in. Hot towel straight razor shaves are on the menu, and the doors open earlier, at 8 AM Monday through Wednesday and Friday. The name on the sign is The Cut Above of SRQ.
